About the venue
The Huguenot Mill was built in 1882 as a textile mill and is now part of the Peace Center campus in downtown Greenville, overlooking the Reedy River. Its main wedding space is the Huguenot Loft, which the Peace Center lists at 300 seated or 400 standing. Smaller rooms in the building include the Ramsaur Studio (60 seated, 150 standing). There's an on-site prep area for catered food, and Falls Park is a short walk away.

Lighting
Mill buildings usually get good window light during the day and warm tungsten at night. Brick reads warmer on camera than it does in person, which is easy to balance in editing. With Falls Park this close, a golden-hour walk along the river is the obvious portrait move.
Coverage approach
Build 15-20 minutes into the timeline for a walk outside to the river and Falls Park, then come back in. Inside, brick, beams, and windows give you plenty of texture for detail shots and portraits.
Timing & seasons
Spring and fall are the prettiest seasons in Falls Park. For summer weddings, keep outdoor portraits after about 5pm to avoid the harshest light.
