Asheville is up I-26 from Greenville and a different category of beautiful. The Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore grounds, downtown Asheville's mix of arts-district grit and mountain charm. When people plan elopements or destination-style weddings in Western NC, they usually want a photographer who understands light in the mountains, not one who drove up from Charlotte at 7am.

Sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway close in winter for weather, and October brings fall color along with heavy crowds at the overlooks, so plan early and keep a backup spot in mind. The River Arts District works well for brand sessions that want texture and working studios in the background.
