Anderson is southwest of Greenville and has something most Upstate cities don't: water. Lake Hartwell changes the light and changes the vibe. Waterfront weddings, dock sessions, sunset portraits, if you've got access to the lake, that's already a better location than half the booked venues in the Upstate.
Downtown Anderson has its own character too. The historic courthouse square, the small-business corridor on Main. Brand work, family sessions, a small ceremony at a family lake house. No travel fee.

Lake Hartwell, Lake Hartwell State Park, downtown Anderson, the Anderson Civic Center area, Anderson County museum grounds, and waterfront properties across the lake corridor.
Good to know
Lake Hartwell is the reason to shoot in Anderson. Water reflects light like nothing else in the Upstate, and golden hour on a dock is hard to beat. Summer weekends bring plenty of boat traffic, so weekday evenings or early mornings give you calmer water and fewer wakes in the background. Downtown Anderson is the better pick for brand sessions and families who want brick and storefronts instead of shoreline.
